As Pre-season comes to an end & we are just about to begin yet another league campaign I thought a little update as to where Thetford Rovers are.
Whilst many clubs have broadcast every little detail over social media, myself & the committee decided to keep a low profile & instead work quietly on our preparations. After being decimated by previous 3 managers myself & assistant, Jay Dennis, identified what we required to build a ‘new’ team & are pleased to say we feel we are all but there. New signings in, former players returning & key players retained.
We began our friendlies with a clear plan & have remained focused on August 12th & not on meaningless results. The squad have grown & playing to a style that we hope will be pleasing on the eye to all that come along with us on our journey this season. Improvement is always progress & I feel we have the key attributes to achieve this as long as there is focus & commitment from the players.
With the efforts put in from the committee, ability of the squad as well as having Jay & Callum Ward in the dugout alongside me I am feeling very positive & excited for the coming season.
First up is Norwich Utd u23’s at Euston this coming Saturday so get yourselves up & support the lads 🔴⚫️
